Famous stones in Kiyosumi Gardens (Tokyo)

Kiyosumi Garden is the garden with famous rare stones collected from all over the country by three generations of Iwasaki family.

The water basin is made of a famous granite named Settu-Mikage.

The water basin made of a blue tuff named Iyo-Aoishi

The water basin made of a stone produced in the River Hozugawa in Kyoto.

Izu-Shikinejima-Ishi, a kind of conglomerate.

The water basin made of a granite named Yamato-Mikage.

Sado-Akadama-Ishi, a very famous rare stone produced in Sado, Niigata Prefecture.

Kishu-Aoishi, a kind of metamorphic rock.     This rock garden seems to express a waterfall.

Taisho Memorial Hall relocated the house which was used for the funeral of the Emperor Taisho.
There are some famous stones also in its front yard of Taisho Memorial Hall.
